Task 4

The major events that happened so far in the play, all revolve around Iago and his intrigues he makes around himself. He is being a sneaky bastard who creates real tension in this play. In the act 1, Iago talks with Rodrigo about Othello and how much they both actually hate him and want to get him in trouble by telling Brabantio- Desdemona's father, that his daughter and Othello got secretly married. Therefore, Iago and Rodrigo wake up Brabantio in the middle of night and they tell him the secret. The another day, when  everyone has a debate about the Turks trying to get to Cyprus, Othello comes inside and has a monologue about the love between him and Desdemona.
"Her father loved me; oft invited me;
Still question'd me the story of my life,
From year to year, the battles, sieges, fortunes,
That I have passed.
I ran it through, even from my boyish days,
To the very moment that he bade me tell it;
Wherein I spake of most disastrous chances,
Of moving accidents by flood and field
Of hair-breadth scapes i' the imminent deadly breach,
Of being taken by the insolent foe
And sold to slavery, of my redemption thence
And portance in my travels' history:
Wherein of antres vast and deserts idle,
Rough quarries, rocks and hills whose heads touch heaven
......"
After his long speech in the senate, Desdemona enters and her father agrees with their relationship.
Roderigo gets angry bacuse he realizes that Desdemona is not in love with him, but with Othello and Iago is still unhappy with his life, so he has to start ruining somebody else's life and his plan is to tell Othello that his wife is cheating on him with Cassio.

That is the Act 1 and I know there will be so much drama going on in the next few pages. I really expect Iago to do something incredibly bad. Iago is insane!
